Why should you read Minddrive?

Hi, Gatlin here, and as the founder of Minddrive, I'm just extremely happy right now to be writing this first post and launching our digital magazine and newsletter.

Currently, I'm on the train to Heidelberg, a small but beautiful city in Germany, where I will be celebrating the new year. Normally I'm not a big fan of train travel, but today is different: the onboard bistro had a delicious apple pie (warmed up), the service was amusingly chatty, and even the internet is working (which is a minor miracle by German-train-standards). So now I'm sitting here with my MacBook, deeply relaxed and looking forward to what the new year has in store.

The world is constantly changing, and while I don't want to list any specific political or social issues and conflicts of the past year, we've certainly noticed that it's impossible to imagine a world without change and transformation.

In this diverse environment, we find ourselves, with our own very personal thoughts, feelings, and challenges. In an ever-changing world, our transformation takes place at the same time. We evolve, we adapt, and we shape ourselves in many different ways. And while this can happen quite smoothly at times, it can also happen quite differently...

Deep conflicts, traumatic experiences, but also almost daily recurring problems can arise and present themselves as major challenges in our lives.
The question is how to deal with all these different situations and events. Since I was deeply interested in this question, I decided to study psychology, developed a deeper interest in philosophical perspectives, and looked at modern life from both sides.

Minddrive is an initiative to connect people from the fields of psychology, philosophy, science, and culture to publish new and interesting ideas, concepts, and articles on these topics.
